What a beautiful day at the OH Ranch. Thank you so much to all of our volunteers who joined us for the day!
Our field trip to the OH Ranch is tomorrow! Just a few reminders before we go...
It will be a great day of fun and learning! This week, a few of our Rideau students are putting on a fundraiser! It will take place from Tuesday, June 4th to Thursday, June 6th at lunch. They will be selling handmade beaded bracelets and cookies for the Diamond Shine Fund. This is a fund that benefits children's cancer research at the Children's Hospital. The bracelets are $5.00 each and the cookies are $1.00 each. Thank you for your support!
Hello,
Just a reminder that payments for field trips are due! Please feel free to pay online or in cash. We are continuing to collect Zoo and OH Ranch payments. The Calgary Board of Education supports the inclusion of all students in activities. If you require financial support, please contact Principal Judi Hadden, in confidence, at [email protected] Thank you! Today we shared our Seed Stories and our Traveling Seed ozobot maps with our Grade 2 buddies. While we were there, we got to learn more about their chicks!
Next week, we are visiting the OH Ranch! Please read the checklist below to find out what your child needs for a successful day.
Don't forget, we will be leaving the school at 8:45 on the morning of our field trip! You're invited to a Tea Party in your honour - please come and enjoy performances, tea, and treats!
This has been a short, yet busy week! We have completed our Sexual Health unit, continued our work with fractions, begun our study of the OH Ranch, and built with simple machines. Don't forget to check PowerSchool for updated assignments!
Please check the agenda for further important dates. It was a wonderful and warm day at the Zoo. Thanks so much to our volunteers who helped to make this field trip possible!
We are looking forward to our fun adventure tomorrow!
We will leave the school at 9:30 am and return by 2:30 pm. Students will need to bring a lunch, snacks and water bottles in their backpacks. They should also wear a light jacket, which can be rolled up and put into their backpacks if they get too warm. |
